The project will take place on the A80 Cumbernauld Road near Junction 12 of the M8, starting September 13 and running until November 10, 2026. Phase two will see lane one of the northbound A80 closed for 24 hours a day between October 13 and November 10. During southbound closures, traffic will be diverted via Gartloch Road, Ave End Road, Stepps Road, and Edinburgh Road. For northbound closures, drivers will be diverted along Edinburgh Road, Stepps Road, and Gartloch Road. A free road work alerts service is available at swtrunkroads.scot/roadwork-alerts.
