The Lulworth Estate has asked Dorset Council to approve the change of use for the former Cove Fish building on Main Road – opening daily from 10am until 6pm and employing one person.
"In summary, the application seeks to bring an existing commercial building into productive use through the provision of a small-scale seasonal takeaway serving visitors to Lulworth Cove.
Food preparation would be limited to microwave ovens, panini presses and toasting equipment.
"Keep Lulworth with a variety of units," said his objection, harking back to the days when the area had a wider range of units.
Other proposals currently being considered in the area include:P/HOU/2026/03842, Seagrove, Main Road, West Lulworth, construct raised patio/deck in rear garden;P/HOU/2026/03415, Lion Barn, West Road, West Lulworth, replacement of roof tiles and the addition of solar panels;P/HOU/2026/02344, 3 Shepherds Way, West Lulworth, erect single-storey rear extension, enlarged office window, garden patio and steps.
