Blakesburg, Iowa - Ruby C. Bruhn, 81, of Blakesburg passed away peacefully at 9:00 a.m. July 23, 2026 at her home. Ruby attended a one room country school in rural Davis County before graduating from Blakesburg High School in 1962. She worked 12 years at Champion Spark Plug in Burlington, 16 years at Everco in Ottumwa and 8 years at Chevron Performance Pipe in Bloomfield. Ruby had also worked with stints at Vermeer, Rubbermaid and Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was a member of the Blakesburg Lions Club, Blakesburg Garden Club, Blakesburg Historical Society and the Wapello County Archeological Society.
