Dorset Council is being asked to agree to a planning proposal for the three covered courts, a café, showers and changing rooms, and office and storage space at Thorneydown Farm, Woodcutts. The buildings proposed are new build, based on a vacant hardstanding area within the farm complex. If agreed, the operators say the site would employ four full-time staff. The proposals come from Chalk and Padel Ltd, based in Yeovil, with the site within the Chase and West Wiltshire Downs National Landscape area and the Dorset Council Cranborne ward. More than seventy letters of support have been sent to Dorset Council in support of the plans.
