The winning entry, created by Year 5 pupils from Springfield Primary School in Sale, in partnership with J. Parker’s Garden Centre in Flixton, was inspired by the Bee Movie. It attracted thousands of visitors during the show, which took place from Friday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2 at Astley Hall in Chorley. Later this year, the garden will be relocated to Springfield Primary School so that all students can enjoy and explore the Gold-winning project. The Chorley Flower Show drew more than 14,000 visitors over the three days. J. Parker’s, based in Manchester, collaborated with students and teachers over several months to bring the garden to life.
