Barnes, 55, of Danville, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of August 3, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, surrounded by his siblings who will miss him dearly. He was born on October 30, 1970, in Danville, Illinois, to Joe Barnes and Linda Barnes (Stanton). He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Barnes. A talented DJ with a deep love of music, Mike had a gift for bringing people together and creating memories that lasted long after the music stopped. Mike found joy in making others laugh, spending time with his family and friends, and sharing his love of music.
