Linux 7.2-rc7 has landed and it looks like next week we will see the stable release. This should be the final release candidate we see before the stable Linux 7.2 is released next week, unless any unexpected critical bugs arise in that timeframe. There were significant technical adjustments in the seventh release candidate. Once the stable release goes out, developers have a two-week window to merge new features before seven weeks of release candidate testing. However, if you have newer hardware, this kernel update could enable that hardware or make it work better.
