Man, 28, who died in A12 'hit-and-run' was just minutes away from his home

An inquest was opened into his death at East London Coroner’s Court on Tuesday (August 4). The court heard that Mr Shinwari lived on Westwood Road in Goodmayes, just a five-minute drive from the scene of the collision. "Mr Shinwari was riding a motorscooter on the A12 at Whalebone Lane. "He was identified by his family following the recovery of the deceased to the local mortuary," Mr Irvine said. Mr Irvine said: "It is possible that this inquest will be suspended pending the outcome of those criminal proceedings."
