Maine School Administrative District 58 will operate at a budget of $13.2 million for the 2026-27 school year. District voters approved the yearly budget in a referendum Aug. 10. The votes by town were: Kingfield approved 80-19, Phillips approved 73-64, Avon approved 39-20 and Strong approved 94-87. The approved budget is the school board’s originally recommended amount, reflecting a $667,491 (5.32%) increase over last year’s $12.6 million. This was the second budget referendum sent to voters.
