The court heard the defendant then filmed himself meeting Shayne and stabbing him moments later. Ms Jones warned jurors that the video was “distressing” and “shocking” to watch because of the speed of the stabbing. Emergency services attended, and Shayne told a police officer that the defendant had stabbed him. The defendant later told Shayne to meet him in an alleyway in Chippenham. After the stabbing, the defendant is alleged to have run to a derelict building and discarded the knife.
