Red Watch from central Swindon’s fire station responded to reports of a fire at Coate Water Country Park on Sunday night.
On arrival, crews discovered visitors having a small campfire and using a disposable BBQ, which is strictly prohibited.

A disposable BBQ started a fire at Coate Water.
Swindon Borough Council’s Ranger team added: “Coate Water Country Park is the only country park where visitors are allowed to bring their own BBQ.
