It's the rising popularity of Overwatch and Diablo 4 (the Lord of Hatred expansion) that had brought in the massive revenue boost. In an apparent email sent to staff, which Windows Central has gotten a hold of, studio president Johanna Faries had revealed that Blizzard had finished the last financial year as the best-performing game studio in the entire organization. "In FY26 Blizzard ended the year as the top-performing studio in Xbox's studios division, and this past year has marked our third highest fiscal for top line revenue in Blizzard's history," says Faries. To continue the momentum, Faries also mentions the upcoming BlizzCon 2026 event as another major turn for the studio. While no official announcements have been made, Blizzard is heavily rumored to be making a new StarCraft game.
