Mohammad Hassan, who was off duty at the time, is also charged with oral rape, strangulation, sexual assault, theft of a mobile phone, and dangerous driving. He has been remanded in custody and suspended from Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Hassan is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on 11 August. The charges follow a GMP investigation into reports made on the evening of Saturday, August 8. GMP said the case has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as a mandatory referral.
