Elysburg - Gregory Joseph Sitko, 76, of Elysburg, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, after a long illness, at Evertrue Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, in Lewisburg, where he had been a resident since October of 2025. He was a devoted member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, in Elysburg. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joni (Burak) Sitko, in 2016, and by his parents, Eugene "Jinx" and Lottie (Ravinis) Sitko. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg, with Rev. The Stephen A. Chowka Funeral Home, 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
