The restrictions began on August 7 and will remain in place until August 13 or until the works are completed. Exemptions apply to emergency vehicles, vehicles involved in the works, and those following police or civil enforcement instructions. The order will only be in effect while appropriate traffic signage is displayed, as required by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. The order has been issued under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. It has been put in place to support essential utility works taking place along the affected stretch of Harrow View.
