Earth, Wind & Fire announced the news in a social media post just minutes before the concert was set to begin at the Chase Center. “As a result, tonight’s show with Lionel Richie will be rescheduled, with a new date to be announced soon.” Back in June, Lionel Richie had to postpone two concerts after falling ill onstage during the first night of the tour. The tour’s next scheduled date is Saturday in Palm Desert, California.
