TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama's run game struggled (to put it nicely) during the 2025 season, rushing for just 104.1 yards per game and 3.4 yards per carry - both ranking 15th out of 16 teams last season in the SEC. But fixing a run game doesn't happen overnight, especially when it has been trending downwards for five consecutive seasons as Alabama's has. Despite the challenge, Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb has shown excitement to work with the new additions to eradicate Alabama's rushing woes using his plan. And between him and Rich Owens, I'm super excited to work with those two guys and resurrect the run game." Grubb finished his answer with three words that proved he understands how important that aspect of Alabama's game is: "And we will."
