Prime Minister Russell Dlamini is in Taiwan, where he has invited companies to explore investment opportunities in the Southern African country. His delegation met officials from Hengs Technology, Jhih-Guang Energy and Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City. The Eswatini government reported that the three institutions had expressed keen interest in partnering with the country and exploring opportunities to collaborate in the development of smart, sustainable energy solutions. Eswatini and the self-declared Republic of Somaliland are the only African countries to have official relations with Taiwan, although Eswatini is the only African United Nations member that officially recognises Taiwan.
