Fayetteville, North Carolina - Patrick Nixon, 81, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, formerly of Clinton, passed away on July 8, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville from complications related to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Pat was born March 17, 1945, in Clinton to Robert V. Nixon and Hazel (Powell) Nixon. Following his military service, Pat began a career with Civil Service where he worked for 26 years before retiring as a contracting officer. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother Joseph and 2 nephews. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cheryl Hardin Nixon, his children: Patrick Blair Nixon Jr., Keely (Dan) Berrios, Heathe Hartley, and Shad (Kendra) Hartley.
