-David Crowder, WRGA News-The Rome City Commission adopted the millage rate on Monday. The overall millage rate will not be increasing, but with the growth in the tax digest, it is still considered an increase of 1.4% over last year. “For city M&O–maintenance and operations– the 2025 rate of 7.75, we would increase that to 8.2,” said Rome City Manager Sammy Rich. Rome City Schools, we would reduce from 16.75 down to 16.00. Rome City Commission Mark Cochran voted against the millage rate.
