A fire burning south of Loma Vista in Monterey County has prompted an evacuation warning Sunday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office said it issued an evacuation warning related to the fire, named Timber Fire, for areas of Big Sur near Partington Ridge Road and North Coast Ridge Road, for the MRY-F026 and MRY-F027 zones. The sheriff's office added the evacuation warning excluded the Ventana Inn. The cause of the fire is unknown.
