Everton have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign Johnson as part of a swap deal that will see Dwight McNeil head in the opposite direction. The deal is understood to be a straight swap, with Palace having held a long-standing interest in McNeil, who saw a January move to the Eagles collapse on deadline day. The 25-year-old will look to bounce back from a difficult half-season at Crystal Palace, who he joined for around £35m in January. He scored 11 league goals in 33 appearances that season and ranked highly among Premier League wingers on several key metrics.
