McAlester, Okla. - Mark Steven Rains, 71, of McAlester, passed away Sunday, July 26, in McAlester. Steve Rains was born on July 6, 1955 in McAlester to Winfred and JoAnn (Lee) Rains. He grew up in the Scipio area and graduated from McAlester high School with the class of 1973. Steve is survived by his sister, Jane Freer and her husband Ed; a brother-in-law, Randy Chapman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas Rains; a sister, Christie Chapman; and a niece, Malinda Freer.
