Well, it is close to one month until the 166th Almonte Fair (September 11-13, 2026). The Almonte Fair has been an annual fixture in our community since 1858 (less 2 pandemic years). The Fair is the high point of the year for the North Lanark Agricultural Society (NLAS), but there are numerous other events throughout the year, hosted by the NLAS at the Almonte Fairgrounds. The Almonte Fairgrounds are located right on the beautiful Mississippi River in Almonte. The NLAS has no employees and is self-funded with some grant money from the Town for the annual Fair and occasionally other organizations.
