HAL and Safran Expand Partnership for LEAP Engine ProgramPress release | Reading time: min | Image source: Safran/Foundry-PlanetSource: SafranHindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Safran Aircraft Engines have signed a long-term supply agreement for the production of superalloy turbine ring forgings for the CFM LEAP engine program. Through this agreement, HAL will support the French engine manufacturer's strategy to further increase production capacity for the highly successful LEAP engine, which continues to experience strong global demand. These high-performance superalloy components are designed for the high-temperature rotating section of the engine and are among the most critical parts for the LEAP engine's performance, durability, and reliability. Dominique Dupuy stated that expanding the collaboration is fully aligned with the company's strategy of developing a stronger local supply chain while simultaneously increasing LEAP engine production capacity to meet growing global demand. The multi-year agreement therefore marks another significant milestone in the long-standing industrial partnership between HAL and Safran Aircraft Engines and further reinforces the resilience of the international aerospace supply chain.
