Another new family doctor has been recruited through the City of Belleville’s Family Physician Recruitment Program. Belleville City Council finalized the medical services agreement with Dr. Uyi Namuna at its council meeting on Monday. In a release, the city says that Dr. Namuna has recently been working as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom and will be joining the Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre (BQWCHC) in the Belleville clinic this September. While healthcare and physician recruitment are not a municipal responsibility, the City of Belleville has recruited approximately 70 physicians and ten nurse practitioners.
