Government data shows the outbreak has recorded a total of 4,381 confirmed cases. More than two-thirds of Ebola deaths are happening in the community rather than in treatment centres. Studies have been planned to find out if the virus is actually mutating, contributing to the severity of the outbreak, officials have said.
