A total of 769 young Rwandans have completed the 16th intake of Itorero Indangamirwa at the Gabiro military training centre in Gatsibo District, concluding more than a month of civic, cultural and basic military training. The group, comprising 454 young men and 315 young women, completed the programme on August 10, 2026, after beginning training on July 1. At Gabiro, they received lessons in Kinyarwanda, Rwandan cultural values and taboos, national history, discipline and patriotism. “Nzabera u Rwanda ambasaderi mwiza,” Karabaranga said, expressing the intention to represent Rwanda through discipline, good values and positive relations with others. The latest graduates bring the cumulative number of young people who have undergone Indangamirwa training to 5,985.
