After more than three years of implementation, the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap has recorded encouraging initial results from its 2022–2032 project to conserve and restore the red-crowned crane population at Tram Chim National Park. The cranes have adapted well to the local climate and environment, while the park's wetland ecosystem is gradually recovering.
