Dallas - Kelly Alyne Jackson Smith, 67, was born Feb. 10, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisiana and died on July 20, 2026 in Dallas, Texas after a brief illness. The oldest child of Robert Jackson, Jr. and Dolores Frost, Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Jackson, her step-father Chuck Foster, and adopted father Ray Dickson. She is survived by her husband Walter; their four children: Brent Smith (Em), Alia Smith Wagner (Vincent), Chad Smith (Suki), and Drew Smith; adopted mother Juanita Dickson; sister Pamela Crane; step-siblings Dirk Foster and Laura Brazeal; adopted siblings June Crisco, Ronnie Dickson (Ronnell), John Dickson (Joyce), Shelley Lincoln (Michael), and Debbie Webb (Stan). On May 15, 1981 Kelly married Walter Ray Smith. Kelly grew in her faith as she persevered in many trials through God's strength and grace.
