The number of active value-added tax (VAT) taxpayers in Azerbaijan rose by 5.8%. The number of active VAT taxpayers rose by 5.8% during the period to 61,805. Mandatory state social insurance contributions totaled $2.375 billion in January-July 2026, exceeding the forecast by $134.9 million. During the reporting period, unemployment insurance contributions reached $84.4 million, exceeding the forecast by $4 million. Mandatory health insurance contributions totaled nearly $356.9 million, exceeding the forecast by $9.2 million.
