Turkmenistan expands textile capacity with new yarn production unit
[]
Trend – News from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Turkey.
A new production unit has been launched at the Bayramaly Textile Complex in Turkmenistan, increasing the country's capacity to produce specialized yarn.
“The production capacity of the unit is 130 tons of yarn per year, with the production process organized around the clock in three shifts,” the report said.
Meanwhile, the Bayramaly Textile Complex is one of Turkmenistan’s major textile manufacturing facilities and has operated as an important industrial center in the country’s textile sector.
The complex has a vertically integrated production chain covering spinning, weaving, dyeing and sewing, allowing it to process cotton fiber into finished textile products.
The launch of additional processing capacity is part of Turkmenistan’s broader efforts to increase domestic processing of raw materials and expand higher-value textile production for both domestic consumption and export markets.
