Tirupati: The Centre has added Tirupati International Airport to the list of designated entry points for travellers holding valid Indian e-Visas. The newly added locations include Tirupati and Bhopal airports, along with nine land ports, expanding the country's e-Visa entry network. The inclusion of Tirupati Airport in the e-Visa entry network is expected to make travel easier for overseas pilgrims and foreign tourists visiting the temple town. The Union Cabinet approved international status for Tirupati Airport in 2008, and a formal Gazette notification was issued in 2017.
