Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers discussed measures to ensure stable supplies of fuels and lubricants to the domestic market. Representatives of relevant state bodies reported on measures being taken to ensure uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products and to prevent shortages in the domestic market. “Following the meeting, several instructions were issued to state bodies to ensure stable supplies of petroleum products and to continue close monitoring of the situation on the domestic market,” the press service said. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imports the overwhelming majority of its petroleum products from Russia under annual intergovernmental supply agreements, making stable fuel deliveries a key issue for the country's economy and transport sector. The issue gained additional importance after Ukrainian drone strikes on a number of Russian oil refineries disrupted refining operations and affected fuel supplies across parts of the region.
