With profound sorrow, we share the news that Steve (Stylianos) Ioannou-Johnson passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, July 25, 2026, having just celebrated his 67th birthday on July 5th, at his beloved Sauble Beach. Steve attended the University of Guelph in 1979, where he met his wife, Lisa. From 1979 to 1983, Steve was a proud letter winner on the University of Guelph Gryphons swim team. Steve loved animals, and after retirement, drove injured wildlife fromGuelph Humane Society to Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge, and helped to release rehabilitated wildlife. Steve and Lisa are greatly appreciative of the wonderful care Steve received at Juravinski, Guelph General, St. Joseph's Hamilton, and Hamilton General Hospitals.
