It is with profound sadness that the Ankli family announces the peaceful passing of Robert "Bob" E. Ankli on July 20, 2026, at the age of 85. Born at St. Joseph Sanitarium in St. Joseph, Michigan, Bob was the eldest son of Vernon and Bertha "Maloy" Ankli. From cheering on the sidelines to offeringencouragement after a difficult event, Bob took tremendous pride in their dedication and accomplishments. He will be lovingly remembered by Lina Wan Yee Ankli; his son Chris Ankli; his daughter Rebecca and her husband, Peter McKinlay; his grandchildren, Peter and Clarke McKinlay; his brother, Gene Ankli; and his extended family, friends, colleagues, and students. He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon and Bertha Ankli, and his brothers, Richard and Ray Ankli.
