Hyderabad: Nearly 10,000 property owners in Malkajgiri are set to get relief from a long-standing issue involving the erroneous inclusion of certain survey numbers in the 22-A prohibited properties list, following intervention by Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekhar Reddy.
The issue reportedly arose from discrepancies in Waqf property records, where certain survey numbers belonging to Mallapur village were shown as pertaining to Malkajgiri village.
The alleged error resulted in property owners facing difficulties in registration and other transactions involving their properties.
The Telangana Waqf Board, after examining the records, has now acknowledged the distinction between the survey numbers belonging to the two villages.
The residents said the development highlights the importance of sustained public representation and coordination with government departments in resolving long-pending issues affecting property owners.
