Anyone interested in running in the upcoming municipal election can learn more during a pair of online information sessions next week. The Cowichan Valley Regional District is hosting two candidate information sessions for anyone interested in serving as an elected official with a municipality or an electoral area within a regional district. “The sessions are open to anyone considering running for office in a municipality or electoral area in the Cowichan Valley,” said a statement from the regional district. One session will be recorded and made available on the websites of the Cowichan Valley Regional District, City of Duncan, Municipality of North Cowichan, Town of Ladysmith and Town of Lake Cowichan. The sessions will run from noon to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 12.
