TDOT Press Release:CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) released a progress update on the SR 111 J-Turn safety improvements project in Putnam County, highlighting ongoing construction and upcoming milestones as work continues on schedule. Over the past few weeks, crews have been preparing the ground, improving drainage, and shaping the slopes along SR 111. In the coming weeks, TDOT will finish stabilizing slopes on the northwest side, continue shaping the southeast side, and begin placing the first layer of roadway base stone.
