From January through June, international visitors spent nearly $124.1 billion in the United States on travel and tourism-related goods and services, down 0.7 percent from the corresponding period in 2025. International visitor spending averaged about $685 million a day during the first half of 2026.
Americans spent more than $18.9 billion on travel abroad in June, down nearly 1 percent from the prior year.
The United States recorded a travel and tourism trade surplus of $2.1 billion for the month.
Travel spending totaled nearly $11.9 billion in June, up more than 3 percent from $11.5 billion in June 2025.
