Sask. RCMP report 10-year high in impaired driving collisions

Saskatchewan RCMP responded to 113 serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions involving alcohol or drug impairment in 2025, marking the highest annual total recorded in a decade.
“Saskatchewan RCMP will continue working to remove impaired drivers from our roads, but we also need people to start making safer choices,” said Supt.
Grant St. Germaine, officer in charge of Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Services, in a news release issued Thursday.

The statistics cover RCMP jurisdictions only and exclude collisions occurring in municipal police service areas, off-road locations, private properties, or those resulting from medical emergencies.
