I had a brain fart and turned the wrong way when entering the final NDB hold in my skill test. (The rest of the test was fine, including navigating with a U/S DME in the aircraft). I got a partial pass and had to retake that part of the route, which I later did successfully. It did mean that I could not apply for certain commercial airlines where they wanted only first time passes. Why did they let you turn in front of the preceding aircraft ?
