Twelve queens will compete for the crown, £25,000 and the title of the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar…RuPaul is returning to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer this autumn with a brand-new batch of queens ready to compete for the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK crown. RuPaul will once again head up the judging panel alongside regular judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton. A selection of celebrity Drag Race superfans will also join the panel throughout the series, although their identities are being kept under wraps for now. “Forget the Lily Savage style British drag that gave us no miming, real singing (even if badly done), tough looks, razor sharp comment and plenty of tough love. “While it’s great TV let’s just hope the British drag scene doesn’t end up entirely the same; we need our Great British queens like Moria Dubois who carries on that great old-style tradition that just wouldn’t make it on drag race.”
