The Central Iowa Daylily Society will hold an informal daylily plant auction at 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 15 at the Marshall County Extension Office at 2608 S. Second St. in Marshalltown. These daylilies have been supplied by members and from Minnesota daylily hybridizers Mike Grosmann and Kathleen Nordstrom. The auction is quite casual and will be a great opportunity to get daylilies at very reasonable prices. The fall is a good time to plant daylilies and daylilies are wonderful garden flowers. A potluck provided by members will begin at 2 p.m. and auction attendees are invited.
