In Brief: Minor Hotels announced plans to open the 352-room Avani Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia in Q1 2027. Avani Kota Kinabalu will be located about 10 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The hotel is intended to serve leisure and corporate demand in Kota Kinabalu and provide access to the city’s business districts, residential neighborhoods and visitor attractions. Avani Kota Kinabalu will also include meeting and banquet facilities for conferences, weddings and social events.
