Michael G. Peppler, 77, of Vandalia, IL passed away on Sunday, August 09, 2026 at SBL Fayette County Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Curtis Flake officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 AM, Friday, at the funeral home. Michael George Peppler was born on June 30, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, one of three sons born to George Peter and Violet Marion (Kukuk) Peppler. He will forever be remembered by his wife, Cathy Peppler of Vandalia; daughter, Michelle Jutton and husband, David of Lakeville, MN; son, Michael A. Peppler and wife, Kimberly of Greenville; brother, Martin Peppler and wife, Kathy of Roselle; brother, Mark Peppler of Justice; grandchildren, Erika Lanari-Jutton and husband, Jonathan, Alyssa Jutton, Katherine Peppler, Erin Peppler, and Steven Jutton; extended family and many friends.
