The RCMP said the 29-year-old Victoria man pleaded guilty in July after being extradited to Canada from Germany. Investigators said the interprovincial network used cryptocurrency, the dark web and Canada Post to sell and distribute drugs across the country, including pills containing fentanyl. Oliveira Scott was initially charged with five counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and five firearms-related offences. RCMP said he pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, and three firearms related offences. Another man, Treshaun Thompson, is also facing charges in the same investigation.
