The Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection recently completed work to digitize nearly 250 editions of Summit Daily News from August 2001 to March 2002. The work is part of a multiyear project to digitize Summit Daily News archives from the paper’s inception in 1989 through 2006 and make them available for free to the public in partnership with Summit County Libraries. Summit Daily is partnering on fundraising efforts with Friends of the Summit County Libraries. The Summit Daily News is missing a copy of its first edition from Aug. 21, 1989.
