Lloydminster crime drops in Q1, RCMP stats show

Overall crime in Lloydminster dropped substantially during the first quarter of the fiscal year, driven by a sharp decline in property offences and vehicle thefts, according to newly released police statistics.

Brian Nicholl, officer in charge of the Lloydminster RCMP detachment, said in the report.
During the three-month period, officers responded to 4,732 calls for service — an increase of 565 calls over the previous quarter.
