Celtic’s chances of signing Farès Ghedjemis now look slim after a major development in the winger’s valuation. That figure would make any Celtic deal extremely difficult, despite the club having tracked Ghedjemis for some time. Martin O’Neill recently confirmed Celtic retained a “strong interest” in the Algerian, who was also on the club’s radar earlier this year. Frosinone reportedly paid Rouen around £200,000 for Ghedjemis two years ago, meaning their current valuation would represent a huge return. Celtic clearly rate Ghedjemis, but an £18 million asking price would push the deal into a completely different bracket.
